We will then proceed to start your initial consultation with Dr Luke, the Chiropractor, who will listen to your particular case and ask any further questions about your history. This information provides valuable insights into your overall health and helps guide your chiropractic care.
You will have the opportunity to discuss your current symptoms with the Chiropractor, any areas of discomfort, and specific goals for chiropractic treatment. Whether you’re seeking relief from back pain, neck pain, headaches, or other musculoskeletal issues, our chiropractor will listen attentively to your concerns and priorities.
Physical Exam
Chiropractic Norwich - Finding The Root Cause
Spine Assessment
Dr Luke will start the examination on your body to find the root causes of your issues. By palpating each segment, we can find which joint in the spine is under stress or not moving correctly.
Range of Motion
By assessing you range of motion, we can identify areas of restricted movement and pinpoint underlying issues contributing to your symptoms. When combined with the spine assessment gives us a full insight of your spinal health.
Zone Assessment
We will then assess the six zones of the body by palpating the pressure points on the back of the head to identify which system is under stress or not working correctly.
Chiropractic Treatment
Chiropractic Norwich - Start the Healing Process
Treatment
Then, if deemed safe, Dr Luke will start treatment. As Dr Luke specialises in the Zone Technique, he will balance the six systems of the body along with the restricted joints found in the examination. Once the six systems are balanced and spine is moving correctly, the body is now in harmony and can start healing.
Further Appointments
As everybody heals at different rates, it is hard to know how many further visits people will need. Typically, most people will come in on a weekly or two weekly basis till their issue is fully resolved. A lot of our clients enjoy their new way of life and want to keep it going so they come in for tune ups. This varies again from person to person but typically is every four weeks to every twelve.

Understanding the Zone Technique: A Holistic Chiropractic Approach to Wellness
The Zone Technique is not merely a treatment; it is a healing art that views the body as an interconnected system of zones. It gets great results with back pain, sciatica, headaches, migraines, neck pain, numbness, tingling, and posture. Developed by Dr. Thurman Fleet, this technique identifies six specific zones in the body, each corresponding to every cell. By assessing and addressing imbalances within these zones, the Zone Technique aims to promote optimal health and well-being. At Chiropractic Norwich we use this technique to assess and balance the body.
The Six Zones:
Glandular System (Zone 1):
Represents all of the glands in the body, including the thyroid, adrenals and reproductive organs. These are responsible for important bodily functions pertaining to memory, energy, appetite regulation, sleep and relaxation. Common symptoms of an unbalanced Glandular system are tiredness or fatigue, depression, anxiety, reproductive issues, insomnia.
Eliminative System (Zone 2):
Includes all of the organs responsible for waste elimination, for example the kidneys, bladder, skin and lungs. If this system is balanced, an individual’s respiratory function will ease, the immune function will be strengthened and bloating reduced. Common symptoms of an unbalanced Eliminative system are constipation, urinary tract issues, skin problems.
Nervous System (Zone 3):
Consists of the brain, spinal cord and all of the other nerves, responsible for different bodily functions. If imbalanced, this system may affect functions such as sight, hearing, reproduction, digestion and mood. Common symptoms of an unbalanced Nervous system are low moods, poor sleep, hormonal imbalance, low energy levels.
Digestive System (Zone 4):
This zone goes further than your stomach and intestines – it also includes the mouth, oesophagus, liver, gallbladder and pancreas, which all play a part in breaking down food to provide the body with vital nutrients. Common symptoms of an unbalanced Digestive system are stomach issues, IBS, food intolerances, fluctuations in weight
Muscular System (Zone 5):
Focuses on the bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments and anything else that contributes to the body being able to move freely and without pain. Common symptoms of an unbalanced Muscular system are muscle or joint pain, lack of range of motion, stiffness, fibromyalgia.
Circulatory System (Zone 6):
In charge of the heart, vessels, blood pressure and circulation. For this system to function effectively, the body needs to take in plenty of nutrients and oxygen, and expel waste. Common symptoms of an unbalanced Circulatory system are blood pressure issues, poor circulation.
