Here's Exactly What Happens When You Come In

Welcome and Consultation
You will be welcomed by Rachel at reception. Then your chiropractor will sit down with you and listen to your full history. This is not a tick box exercise. We want to understand when the problem started, what makes it better or worse, what treatments you have tried, and how it affects your daily life. You will have time to explain everything, ask questions, and make sure you feel heard.
Spinal Examination
The chiropractor will examine your spine segment by segment, checking how each joint moves, assessing your posture and balance, and testing muscle tension and nerve function. This tells us which joints are restricted, stressed, or not moving correctly. Combined with the consultation, it builds a detailed picture of what is going on structurally.
Zone Technique Assessment
This is what makes Chiropractor Norwich different. The Zone Technique assesses six body systems by checking specific pressure points on the back of your head. It is gentle and takes just a few minutes, but it reveals which systems are under stress and contributing to your symptoms. This often uncovers factors that standard examinations miss entirely. We are the only clinic in Norfolk offering this approach.
Explanation of Findings
Once the examination is complete, the chiropractor will explain exactly what has been found, in plain language. No jargon. You will understand what is causing your symptoms, whether chiropractic care can help, and what the recommended plan looks like. If chiropractic is not the right fit for your situation, we will tell you honestly and refer you to someone who can help.
Treatment
If it is safe and appropriate, treatment begins in the same session. Nothing happens without your full understanding and consent. Chiropractic adjustments are specific, controlled movements applied to joints that are not functioning properly. Most patients describe the feeling as relief, not pain. After your adjustment, you will receive advice on what to expect in the coming days and any simple things you can do at home to support your recovery.
🤝 Our Honest Promise
If we cannot help, we will tell you straight away. We would rather point you in the right direction than waste your time or money. That is how we have built our reputation in Norwich.
The Only Zone Technique Clinic in Norfolk
The Zone Technique views the body as six interconnected systems. Rather than just treating where it hurts, it identifies which systems are out of balance and contributing to your symptoms. This is why patients with back pain, sciatica, headaches, fibromyalgia, and dizziness often get results here that they could not get elsewhere.
Glandular
Hormones, energy, immune function, thyroid, adrenals
Eliminative
Detoxification, sinuses, lungs, kidneys, bowel function
Nervous
Brain, spinal cord, nerves, mood, sleep, stress response
Digestive
Stomach, intestines, nutrient absorption, gut health
Muscular
Muscles, tendons, ligaments, posture, movement patterns
Circulatory
Heart, blood vessels, lymphatic system, circulation
When all six zones are balanced, the body can heal, adapt, and perform the way it was designed to. Every new patient at Chiropractor Norwich receives a Zone Technique assessment as part of their first visit.
What to Expect After Your Adjustment
Most patients notice some change after their first visit. For some, it is immediate relief. For others, it is a gradual shift over the first few days.
Some people feel a little achy or tired for 24 to 48 hours after their adjustment, similar to the feeling after a good workout. This is completely normal and is your body adapting to the changes. Others feel great straight away and it stays that way. Both responses are positive signs.
What we recommend: Stay active and drink plenty of water. Listen to your body. If you feel energised, move. If you feel tired, rest. If you have any concerns at all between visits, contact us.
Follow-Up Visits
Follow-up appointments are £42 each. We typically see patients once per week until the issue resolves. Some attend twice per week to accelerate results. An honest recommendation is given after your first assessment. There are no long contracts and no pressure. Many patients continue with maintenance visits (every four to twelve weeks) after their issue resolves because they want to keep feeling good.
If massage therapy would complement your care, we can schedule sessions with Chloe alongside your chiropractic appointments.
